The SOL Group acquires a stake
in p.a.c. Gasservice
From the initial idea right through to the signing of the contract, the focus was on a carefully structured business succession plan.
The company p.a.c. Gasservice:
p.a.c. Gasservice GmbH is a family-run business founded in 1988, with its headquarters in the Ruhr region and two sites in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company fills a wide variety of gases for technical and scientific purposes, as well as for the food industry, and employs around 65 staff.
Its portfolio also includes fuel and heating gases, refrigerants, as well as suitable gas containers and equipment. By developing bespoke solutions for its customers, p.a.c. is continuously expanding its product range and utilises Germany’s strong industrial base as a locational advantage.
The challenge
The transaction was triggered by the planned succession within the family-run business. The aim was to place p.a.c. Gasservice GmbH in responsible hands whilst ensuring the company’s long-term development.
The focus was on preserving the established structures, safeguarding the sites and continuing the successful business model. We were commissioned to provide structured support throughout the entire process of finding a suitable new shareholder.
The solution: the SOL Group as a partner
The SOL Group is an internationally active industrial gas specialist that has been providing gases and gas-related services for a wide range of applications for many years – from industrial and medical fields to specialised niche applications. A long-standing business relationship with p.a.c. Gasservice GmbH already existed through SOL Deutschland GmbH.
With the SOL Group’s entry, p.a.c. Gasservice has found a strategically suitable partner that is a good cultural and operational fit for the company and takes the existing collaboration to the next level. The transaction opens up additional growth prospects, secures the sites in the Ruhr region and strengthens p.a.c. Gasservice’s position in the market for industrial and speciality gases.
