Prof. Thomas J. Medaglia III

Mr. Medaglia has over 40 years’ experience in law and government relations working for and with top worldwide corporations representing clients in Washington D.C. on the Hill and with a variety of US government agencies. His work has given him valuable experience in government and U.S. public relations.

After practicing corporate and sports law he was hired by AMOCO Corporation in 1986 to represent the company’s interest with state governments before being promoted to Washington where he was responsible for representing AMOCO’s interests at the national level and for communications with the US government. His responsibilities also included AMOCO activities in the Middle East, India and Eastern Europe. He was a member of the AMOCO merger team with BP in 1998 and retired from BP in 2001 to head RWE North America Corp., the US holding company of RWE AG. There he was responsible for US external relations and coordinated communications between the US subsidiaries and the parent company, RWE AG. After RWE, he established Thomas Advisors Inc. as a boutique government relations/marketing consulting firm which has been advising corporations from various industries relative to legislation, regulation, political strategy and marketing opportunities in the US market.

In addition to his management duties at Thomas Advisors, he is an adjunct professor at Northwood University in Michigan for Public Policy and Constitutional Law and a founding board member of the German American Business Council. He currently sits on the board of DreamWakers, Inc.
